Cause Analysis and Treatment of Light Burned Magnesium Ball on Bearing Bush of Light Burned Dolomite Rotary Kiln
Demand for lightly burned dolomite increased to 303,300 tons. At present, our factory has one 500 m3 shaft kiln with an annual actual capacity of 137,000 tons and a gap of 166,300 tons. In order to meet the needs of development, the company decided to build a 600 t/d rotary kiln with coal powder as fuel and vertical preheater and cooler in the composite material plant. The start-up ceremony was held on October 15, 2011. After more than a year of construction, equipment installation and commissioning, the kiln was ignited after completion of the project on December 9, 2012. The operation of the belt material on December 21 entered the trial production stage. Functional tests were carried out for three consecutive days from January 12 to 14, 2013, to achieve the functional assessment of the output up to the standard.
During the trial production stage, the axle bush of the supporting wheel of the light-burned magnesia ball rotary kiln was heated nine times continuously, which seriously affected the normal operation of the rotary kiln, and was forced to stop production for 17 days on May 17 for repairing. Therefore, the control of temperature rise of supporting wheel bearing bush is the key factor of rotary kiln production in our factory at present.

From December 9, 2012 to May 16, 2013, there were nine times that the bearing bush of the supporting wheel increased. At the most serious time, the temperature was over 100 C, which resulted in the second kiln shutdown and the longest shutdown for 10 days, which seriously affected the output of the products and had a great impact on the steelmaking of the company.
